One of the pleasures of riding a motorcycle is that you can park pretty much wherever you want… and I really couldn’t get much closer to the start line of this year’s Docklands 8K than this:
The weather was perfect and the turnout was again bigger than last year but there is still a building site feel to Docklands and that is most evident underfoot as we spent as much effort avoiding potholes and obstacles as we did running forwards!
I really wanted to break my 8K PB tonight but despite my best efforts I only managed 41:17 (08:24 min/mi), not a million miles from my 39:29 best from 2008 but still disappointing. On the upside I did get a hell of a parking space!! There’s always a silver lining!!!!
